English bayonet made P56 Enfield rifle. This example recently came out of an old house in Savannah, Georgia. The knurled leather grip slabs are intact with one side having a crack running down the middle. The steel mounted leather scabbard is in fine condition and completely intact with some rust pitting on the steel mounts. The iron mounted handle shows rust pitting overall with heavier pitting on the pommel. The steel blade is dark and has rust pitting on both sides as shown in my photos.
