Nice condition with traces of old gold paint on the brass parts possibly from an old GAR post. Blade nicely etched with CS and the firm name. The original leather scabbard has evidence of 2 repairs and is in good condition and original to the sword. The original leather grip has some leather erosion and still retains all of the single strand copper wire wrap. All and all a nice example of a Georgia sword that saw action during the war to suppress Yankee arrogance.
