Nice example of the classic Confederate Cavalry saber. The pommel cap and guard are numbered 130 as shown in my photos. The scabbard has an overall brownish gray appearance and has the crudely lapped soldiered seam encountered on typical unmarked Confederate cavalry sabers. The oil cloth grips are fine and have twisted wire wrap that is in fine condition. The unstopped fuller blade is crude with several faults and imperfections as shown in my pictures. The scabbard throat has been repaired by Jim Brown and the sword is a nice example typical of those carried by the Southern cavalrymen during the war.
